Tokidoki 24 Karat Edition Pittura Brush Set, Pittura Brush Set & Siberia Blush Brush Review

Hi everyone. I present to you: THE CUTEST BRUSHES EVER!!!! (in my opinion of course)
From left: Tokidoki 24 Karat Edition Pittura Brush Set, Siberia Blush Brush & Pittura Brush Set

TOKIDOKI 24 KARAT EDITION PITTURA BRUSH SET
The 24 Karat Edition Pittura Brush Set was released quite a while ago but I missed out on it then. I managed to find it on Amazon but the price was much more expensive than it originally was. Even with the steep price tag, I still think that these brushes are worth it.

This set comes with 4 brushes and detachable charms on each brush. From left: Ciao Ciao Star Powder Brush, Latte Eyeshadow Brush, Adios Star Smudge Brush & Unicorno Eyeliner/Lip Brush.

CIAO CIAO STAR POWDER BRUSH
The bristles of this brush are soft and dense, making this a great brush for applying powder to the face. If I am lazy, I will use the same brush to apply blush and it works for that as well.

LATTE EYESHADOW BRUSH
This eyeshadow brush is great for laying down or packing on shadows onto the lids. Since it's made of synthetic bristles, it will work well with cream or powder eyeshadows.

ADIOS STAR SMUDGE BRUSH
From left: Latte eyeshadow brush & Adios Star smudge brush.

This brush has a similar shape to the eyeshadow brush but it is smaller and the bristles are shorter. This brush can be used to smudge out eyeliner or for pushing eyeshadow onto eyeliner to help set it. This brush will also be great to place eyeshadow more precisely onto the lids.

UNICORNO EYELINER/ LIP BRUSH
This brush is quite flat but slightly wider than a typical flat eyeliner brush, so some might find it a little tricky to work with. It will of course work as a lip brush as well as for pin-point concealing.

I did not have high expectations for these brushes and the main reason that I bought them is because of the cute design. However, I am pleasantly surprised at the really good quality of the brushes. The bristles are soft and dense, and the brushes hold up extremely well after washes with no/ very minimal shedding. The charms might be quite annoying when you are using the brushes or when you want to travel with them, but they are detachable and you can clip it onto bracelets/ keyrings and etc.

PITTURA BRUSH SET
This is a Sephora exclusive brush set and it is currently being discounted because they are discontinuing this set. If you like this set, you have to go get it quickly. IT IS STILL AVAILABLE AND IS ON SALE FOR $14 AT THE MOMENT (as of October 2nd 2012).

The Pittura Brush Set comes with 3 brushes. From top: Mozzarella eyeshadow brush, Adios Amigos crease brush & Donutella angled eyeliner brush.

Each brush has the character's figurine on the end and each handle also has different designs relating to the character. The tip of the bristles are colored as well.

MOZZARELLA EYESHADOW BRUSH
An excellent basic eyeshadow brush. Great for packing on/ laying down colours onto the lids (which is what eyeshadow brushes are meant to do!). I use brushes of this shape to blend in concealers too.

ADIOS AMIGOS CREASE BRUSH
Although this is named a crease brush, but I use it as a blending brush since I have monolids. It works well to blend in eyeshadows and concealers. I also like to use this brush to contour down the side of my nose.

DONUTELLA ANGLED EYELINER BRUSH
I don't personally use angled eyeliner brush, which is just my personal preference. I like to use this brush to fill in my eyebrows.

These brushes are so adorable, and I especially adore the coloured tips of the bristles. I also adore the cute design on the handles, and the figurines are very well made and detailed (nothing like the cheap looking ones that I used to have on my pencils when I was little). The bristles are soft, and holds up very well after washes as well.

On the other hand, these brushes are on the heavy side because the figurine at the end has some weight to it. So some might find it uncomfortable to use, but I don't mind that. The brushes are also on the longer side, hence it might not fit into a lot of makeup bags and brush rolls. The light coloured bristles can also get stained quite easily as you use them. Just try to clean your brushes soon after using it to prevent staining and it should be fine.

SIBERIA BLUSH BRUSH
The Siberia Blush Brush has also been out for a very long time and it might not be easy to find. I also found mine on amazon.

The Siberia Blush Brush is an angled blush brush and I like this brush for applying blushes as well as to contour and highlight.

The brush also has soft bristles and it feels very comfortable on the skin. The bristles are quite dense so it picks up and applies product onto the skin very well. The pink tips of the bristles are also a very cute touch. Similar to other Tokidoki brushes, this brush also hold up very well in washes.

This brush is cute but it is definitely not easy to store/ to travel with because of the length and the bulky figurine. This brush also has some weight to it but since it's a face brush, it doesn't require the same amount of control as the eye brushes, thus I don't think it will be too uncomfortable to use. With the light coloured bristles, it is also best to clean this brush soon after using it to avoid staining.

OVERALL
I am very happy that I got these brushes (although I did pay a premium for the 24 Karat Edition and the Siberia Blush Brush). If you are like me and you enjoy cutesy things, I do highly recommend that you check these brushes out. The quality of these brushes are excellent, with synthetic bristles that are soft and fluffy, as well as easy to maintain and upkeep.

Do you like these brushes? Which is your favourite?
