I have a never-ending wish list but since my family and friends do don't Christmas gift giving, I am trying to skimp on my other expenditures so that I can have a little year end shopping spree (for myself and for my 250 follower giveaway. wheeee~).
That means I am not planning to get much for the blog in the weeks to come but guess what, my lovely supportive friend (Hi Jean!!!) gave me a surprise gift in the form of some Kiss Me makeup to review. I feel so loved and lucky to have people in my life who supports me and what I do.
Here's the makeup Jean gave me. From left: Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Marker Pen Eyeliner in 01 Deep Black, Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow in 03 Ash Brown and Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara S in 01 Deep Black.
KISS ME HEAVY ROTATION COLORING EYEBROW IN 03 ASH BROWN
Product description and directions for use.
The product description suggests that this brow mascara is supposed to deliver intense color, be long-lasting and smudge resistant while being easy to remove (with warm water) as well as being good for your brow hairs. It also says that the end result will be different depending on your hair colour, which is a very helpful piece of information.
A spoolie applicator.
The actual colour of the brow mascara.
My natural brow.
After applying one coat of the brow mascara. On my dark hair, the eye brow mascara lightened my brow hair and gave my brows a dark brown look with an ash tone tinge.

This is the first brow mascara that I have tried and although my experience with this type of product is very limited, I do think that the 03 Ash Brown Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow is quite good.
The spoolie applicator is very good in catching every brow hair and in applying the product evenly onto the brows. This product coats brow hairs well but it isn't too obvious if you get it on your skin, so it's fuss-free for brow mascara novice like me. If you make a really big mistake (ie. colouring really far our of your brow shape), you can clean it up quite easily with a q-tip/ cotton bud. I also really like the natural look this product gives on my dark hair, both in terms of colour as well as finish as this eyebrow mascara doesn't leave an unnatural super glossy finish.
The wear of this brow mascara is also really good. It managed to stay on all day including a brief walk in the rain. Overall, I think this brow mascara is good if you are looking for a natural brow colour as well as something that will hold brow hair in place.
I tried checking online for more information about this eyebrow mascara and from what I have seen, this product has a very small shade range: 01 Yellow Brown, 02 Orange Brown and 03 Ash Brown (source). With such limited choices, not everyone will be able to find a colour to suit them in the range. In addition, this product will not work for people with sparse brows, since you need brow hairs for the product to cling to.
KISS ME HEAVY ROTATION MARKER PEN EYELINER IN 01 DEEP BLACK
According to the product description, this eyeliner marker is supposed to be fast drying, opaque and jet black, as well as being long-lasting, smudge free but easy to remove with just warm water.
This is a felt tip eyeliner.
This eyeliner can easily create lines of different thickness, from thin to very thick.

I tend to put eyeliners through a series of test to see if they make the mark, which I started doing since THIS POST.
Rub Test: The line stayed on pretty well apart from a little bit of smudging.
Water test: I ran my hand under a tap for a little while and patted my hand dry with a tissue. Nothing came off.
However, once the line has been wet, if you touch it/ rub it, it will flake off.
Oil test: I applied a generous amount of cuticle oil onto the lines and I proceeded to rub the oil into my skin. I am surprised to see that this eyeliner holds up very well against oil since the entire line is pretty much intact.
This eyeliner is great for people with oily lids since it holds up very well against oil. If the weather is not too warm, this can stay on well for 8-9 hours or so before it starts to flake a little. On hot days, the combination of oil and sweat is too much for this eyeliner and it will smudge after a couple of hours of wear.
People who are not used to liquid liners might find this quite easy to use since felt tip eyeliners are user friendly because it's easier to control and it's not as fiddly as brush applicators. You can use the tip to create a fine line or apply more pressure to create a thicker line. The felt tip is also excellent to fill in gaps in between eyelashes. It is important to note that you cannot go back and forth on the line with this liner or the tip of the liner will rub off existing product on the skin. The end result will not look nice if you go back and forth.
The fact that this eyeliner will flake off after prolonged wear or upon contact after being wet is definitely a minus. Not to mention that this eyeliner has a very liquidy/ wet texture when you first apply it (you can see how it sipped into the lines on my skin in the swatches above). It didn't sip into the lines on my skin when used on my eyes but I think people will double eyelids/ deep crease will need to make sure they don't blink immediately after applying this or it might print onto the lids. The eyeliner also has a slight glossy look, which some might like and some won't.
This is my eyeliner of choice if I know I am not going to be exposed to super hot humid weather for long. I wear this eyeliner all the time if I am going to be indoors all day and it will hold up amazingly well for most of the day.
KISS ME HEROINE MAKE LONG & CURL MASCARA S 01 DEEP BLACK
This mascara claims to "extend eyelashes to 120%" and is supposedly waterproof. It also claims to give a clump-free glossy finish as well as holding up curls.
This mascara has a curved brush applicator.
When I tried this mascara out, I first noticed it didn't give me a 120% extension on my lashes. In addition, when I tried to build it up heavily, it did start to clump and have the spidery lash look.
To illustrate my point, I used the mascara on a pair of old false lashes to show you exactly what I meant.
On the left is what the lashes look like with nothing on it. On the right, I built up about 4 layers of mascara and you can see how the lashes started to clump together into little spikes. You can also compare the length and see that although the lashes did get longer, it was nothing like 120% extension.
Unrealistic claims and spidery lashes alert aside, this mascara works fine on my lashes if I don't build it up too much and apply it in thin coats. It does lengthen my short lashes well and it will not clump my lashes as long as I don't apply it too thickly in each coat. I see this problem improving with use, as the mascara dries out a little, it will be less wet so it won't cause lashes to clump together as easily.
*update* I have been using this mascara a bit more since I reviewed it and I am happy to see that it did get less wet with use so it won't clump as easily. For the better lengthening and to avoid clumps, make sure to scrape off any excess product with the stopper (the rubbery bit at the opening of the tube) and brush on mascara in thin layers, combing upwards when you reach the end of your lashes to allow the mascara to extend past your real lashes.

In terms of holding curls, this mascara does ok. It does cause my lashes to lose a tiny bit of curl but it doesn't completely make my lashes droop or straighten. This mascara is water proof, and it'll not smudge on me for several hours, which is not bad. The colour is very black and it does leave a slight glossy look. This mascara is also not too difficult to remove with the help of eye makeup remover/ cleansing oil.
Overall, this mascara is ok in my books. It's not so bad that I won't want to keep and use it but it's not so great that I want to run out and repurchase when it runs out. I have short stubborn straight lashes so I have very specific requirements for my mascaras. If you're more blessed in the lashes department and you want something that you can apply 1-2 thin coats of to give you a bit of extra length, you might like this.

Here, I also used the Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Marker Pen Eyeliner in 01 Deep Black, the Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow in 03 Ash Brown and the Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara S in 01 Deep Black.
I applied 2 thin coats of mascara and it's quite nice in terms of length isn't it? I always curl my lashes prior to applying mascara and you can see how my lashes did straighten a little though.
