I also want to use this post to say a big thank you to all my readers for visiting my blog and also to those who took the time to leave me sweet comments. I will continue to work hard to write more interesting posts for you guys so please continue to support my blog.
According to Melissa's post, for either award, I have to write 7 random facts about myself and then nominate 15 bloggers who are relative new to blogging for the award.
So without further ado, let's get started.
#1 I only started wearing makeup at the age of 17. I grew up with 3 brothers and my mother has a very basic beauty routine, so I practically dressed like a boy (think loose jeans, polo tees, t-shirts and sneakers) and had zero clue about skincare and makeup. When I was 16, I moved to Australia and that is when I started reading magazines and blogs, which led to the development of my own dress sense as well as my love for makeup.
The first makeup item that I bought was a MAC holiday palette.
#2 I used to be a golfer (and I was not too bad at it too). My dad is an avid golfer so golf is my family's official sport. I used to play golf about 5 days a week when I was in high school but I eventually stopped when I moved to Melbourne.
I do really enjoy the sport but I couldn't bear getting tan lines.
#3 I speak 7 languages/dialects (well, technically 6.5). Cantonese is my mother tongue, I studied in a Mandarin primary school and English and Malay are mandatory in Malaysian schools. French is the 0.5 because even though I studied French for 3 years in university as an elective, I haven't practiced much since so I am not very fluent anymore. I studied Japanese during a semester break because I love Japan and I get a lot of practice from reading Japanese magazines as well as watching dramas and movies. I am currently studying Korean because I love Korea a lot too: everything from food, makeup, fashion, music, tv shows and more.
#4 I love chocolates but I do not like chocolate ice creams.
#5 I drink tea more than I drink water. I use a gigantic mug (pint size) to brew my tea and I probably drink 8 of those a day. My favourite teas are green tea and chinese tea.
#6 I am the sort of person who has a very hard time throwing things away and as a result I have accumulated a lot of random items. I currently have a collection of makeup, toy cameras, seal soft toys (mamegoma/ little seal on the blog), random cards and notes I received over the years, magazines, paper bags, pouches and the list goes on.
#7 I can only control one side of my brow, which means that I can't actually voluntarily do the raise both brows in shock facial expression.
