Makeup is my "Happy Fuel". Putting on makeup in the morning and taking off my makeup when I get home have to be some of my favourite moments of the day. When I am feeling stressed or defeated, beauty blogs and videos can always perk my day up. Not to mention it always give me something to look forward to as I add new things onto my "Things-to-check-out-the-next-time-I-go-shopping List".
Featured below are some products that I love and will be very sad without, as well as some that just make my beauty routine that much more delightful.
P/s. I did not feature every product category because
this post will be never-ending if I did that. I think everyone who loves beauty products have one or a few types of beauty items that they are especially obsessed with. Here are some makeup treats that I can't get enough of!!
MY UTMOST LOVE: FOUNDATION & PALETTE
I have enough foundations and makeup palettes to last me for.. well, let's just say a very long time. Yet, every time I walk into makeup store, I make a beeline for them and more often than not, I walk out with something new. My justification? Foundation is an essential that I NEED everyday. Makeup palettes are not only pretty to look at but they are also super practical because all the colours that you can possibly need are all in the same place (who has time to dig through single shadows to put together a look when they get ready in the morning? Definitely not me).

Skinfood | Black Egg Pore Primer, Black Egg Pore Foundation & Black Egg Pore Finish Powder Review
Hi everyone! What is your number 1 skin concern? For me, it's definitely my chronically oily skin and my visible-even-on-low-res-camera enlarged pores. I have tried various skin care products that CLAIM to help refine and minimise pores but to be honest, I think those products are more of a psychological thing because I have not found any that actually works.
As a result of my skin type/condition, I naturally gravitate towards pore covering/ mattifying base makeup and avoid anything that has the word luminous or glow in its name like the plague.
One day, when I was browsing in my local Skinfood store, I stumbled across these:
A range of products that is targeted to conceal enlarged pores and give you boiled egg like smooth skin (plus with super cute food-like packaging)? These went straight into my shopping basket.

Chanel Summer 2012 Collection: Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Powder (907 Sable Beige), Rouge Coco Shine (447 En Vogue & 437 Empreinte), Glossimer (337 Calypso) & Perfection Lumiere Review
Hi everyone. I am sure many of you living in the Northern hemisphere must be so excited for the arrival of summer. Even though summer is not my favourite season per se, summer makeup collections are in fact one of my favourite releases in the year.
I am going to review Chanel's summer 2012 makeup collection known as Summertime De Chanel today. Inspired by the warmth of the sun, this collection features products to help you create sun-kissed glowing skin as well as vibrant colours that will complement such radiant complexions.
This is quite a big collection for Chanel's standard. It contains:
- 2 Soleil Tan de Chanel Luminous Bronzing Powder in 907 Sable Beige and 917 Sable Rose
- 1 Ombres Contrastes Duo in 37 Sable-Emouvant
- 1 Le Crayon Yeux in 47 Brun Intense
- 1 Le Crayon Khol in 75 Peche Cuivre
- 2 Rouge Coco Shine in 437 Empreinte and 447 En Vogue
- 2 Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in 327 Sirocco and 337 Calypso
- 3 Le Vernis Nail Colour in 597 Island, 607 Delight and 617 Holiday
There is also an Inimitable Waterproof mascara, Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, Soleil Tan de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid and the Rouge Coco Baume listed on the Chanel website but I think those are permanent items whereas everything else apart from the eyeshadow duo are limited edition.
I got the Soleil Tan de Chanel in 907 Sable Beige, Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks in 437 Empreinte and 447 En Vogue, Glossimer in 337 Calypso and Le Vernis Nail Colour in 597 Island. I also have the Perfection Lumiere Foundation in 12 Beige Rose.
