bye bye T^T

Sorry for the lack of updates.

I have several rolls of films lying around waiting to be developed. But before that, something happened that made me feel like i need to share it here.

I lost my digital camera case yesterday. I must have lost it when i was out drinking.

To be honest i am really quite sad. First of all, everyone hates losing their things. Secondly, the Rilakkuma fits my camera so snuggly and perfectly. Thirdly, I bought the case from japan and i have had it for a long time (so many memories and sentimental value).

I'll miss it. Hopefully someone picked it up and will continue to love it as much as i did.

2 weeks in Beijing: part 2 featuring local cuisines

It's my day off today and I wanted to go to the gym and chill for the day.. but I was woken by the worst stomach pain this morning T^T I have been having frequent gastric pain since a long time ago but i have never bothered to go see the doctor about it. I guess i have accepted it to be something normal for me. But today's pain was unbearable, so my brother and his girlfriend had to take me to the doctor.

It turned out to be a gastro-oesophageal reflux.. hopefully the medicine will help. The doctor also recommended that i do a gastroscopy.. *sigh* I feel like a cold is oncoming as well.. How depressing? I also have to start doing an assignment that is due next tuesday.. pfffffff

anyways, since i am at home and trying to get some rest, i thought i would upload part 2 of the 2 weeks in beijing photos, which are all the nice yummy food that i have had in the 2 weeks that i was there.

First, it's a taiwanese (i think)? tea house called 一茶一座.. which translates to one tea one seat.. we went back there quite a few times.. there is just something comforting and safe about a chain restaurant instead of the small local restaurants. afterall, i am a tourist.

2 weeks in Beijing (part 1)

Hi to whoever is still reading my blog~~ Sorry for not posting an update for so long. I have been rather busy, broke and thus do not have the mood/ money (for films) to take photos. I was initially going to do another post with some photos of dancers that I took a while back, but i feel like doing a post featuring something more recent first.

So, during this winter break, I was part of the 19 students that participated in Melbourne Uni's Global Business Practicum subject. This means----> I was living in Beijing for 2 weeks working on a study project for a company. I enjoyed the food, and sightseeing, the shopping to a certain extent~~ but not so much for the weather and culture shock. But all in all, I had heaps of fun and enjoyed the trip so so much.

dance

" Dancers are not made of technique, but their passion"

I finally had the motivation to actually do the header for my blog (ps. 2 of the images used in the header image are not owned by me, if anyone has any problems with me using those images, please let me know and i will remove them).
I just didn't want to study anymore after my first paper this afternoon and i want to do something to fill in my time, and tadahhhhh... an update plus a header!!! Please excuse my computer image editing skills, this is the best i could do.

I haven't had the mood to bring my cameras out to play, so these photos are from a few months ago, nonetheless i like them very much. I love taking photos of dancers, because i love the idea of freezing movements, that is kinda what photography is about to me. And.... I am actually running out of films to use in my natura classica. The camera stores in Melbourne does not stock ISO 800 films anymore, and i tried ordering it but they haven't gotten back to me yet, and it has been about 3 months now and still no news T^T I am currently broke as, but once i have money, i am planning to purchase some fuji natura classica ISO 1600 online. These are the films designed especially for the camera and they are the only (i think) ISO 1600 colour films in the market. SUPER EXCITED!!

The photos below are photos of KO crew jam session in Melbourne. If you are in Melbourne and you are interested to seeing them jam, you usually could catch them in the city around 3-4pm on saturdays.

Gastronomic Bliss featuring Fujifilm NC

I love food. However, i am not very blessed with the knife skills nor the determination to prepare gourmet meals. So most of the time when i am having meals by myself, i resort to takeaways and frozen food; which i must say, is nothing compared to the comfort of a proper home cooked meal.

A life-changing moment came, when my brother's girlfriend (who is referred to as Feli) invited me to dinner at her place. and she has been feeding me quite frequently ever since.....

This is a little documentation of our food journey together.

and homey chicken wings accompanied by a fresh and light
tasting pasta.
