Canmake Cream Cheek Review | Clear Series CL01, CL02, CL03 & CL04

Hi everyone. Please take a moment to have a look at these little pots of gorgeousness.

These Canmake Cream Cheek Cream Blushers are very well known in the Asian beauty-sphere for it's great pigmentation, texture as well as wallet friendly price tag (In Japan. If you are purchasing it in most other places, chances are you will be ripped off, like I was).

I was recently on a hunt for these blushers because I wanted to review more Asian beauty products in addition to the seasonal luxury brands makeup releases that I tend to do most of. So I went out for a beauty product shopping spree & got a few things that I thought might be of interest to you guys. Needless to say I bought a ton of blushers.

From what I know, 13 colours were released in the original (cream) formula but quite a few got discontinued. The Canmake Cream Cheek in the Clear formula is a relatively new release to the line with 4 colours in the series:

  • CL01 Clear Red Heart
  • CL02 Clear Love Song
  • CL03 Clear Sunset (not listed on official site, I believe this one is limited edition)
  • CL04 Clear Pink Joy

Les Merveilleuses by Ladurée Autumn 2012 Cream Cheek Base Review

Hi everyone. I was planning to write about the Dior Golden Jungle collection for this post but I fell in love with the Les Merveilleuses by Ladurée Fall 2012 Cream Cheek Base in #101 Vermillion (I know, the name is so long) that I have to let it jump the chewylove blogpost queue.

Famous for their macarons as well as delectable cakes and pastries, Ladurée has since ventured into the cosmetics market with the launch of Les Merveilleuses by Ladurée in early 2012. The brand's products includes base makeup, cheek color, lip colour, eye shadows, brow palette, mascara and accessories (source).

I think that Ladurée cosmetics are only available in Japan at the moment but the internet tells me that Europe will get it in fall 2012 and US will eventually get it as well (source). My best friend got it for me when she went to Japan for holiday. If you are reading this post, I LOVE YOU!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR LOVELY GIFT.

Ok, enough of me talking. Now the product.
I am sure a lot of you already know that I have a weakness for pretty packaging. Look at this box, isn't it beautiful. If you think this is gorgeous, wait until you see the actual product.

MAC Naturally, Shop Mac Cook Mac, Vera and Chen Man Haul and review

Hi everyone. I am super late in posting up this post but better late than never I guess. I have for you a collective haul and swatches of Mac collections that came out in late February (Naturally) and early March (Shop Mac Cook Mac, Vera and Chen Man) in Malaysia. These are all limited edition collections so I am not sure if they are still available. From my experience, these collections do not tend to sell out very quickly here in Malaysia so it might still be in stock.

I will try to be more up to date next time >_<

I have not bought anything from Mac in a while because Mac just comes out with so many collections that it got a little overwhelming (and slightly impossible) to follow. But I saw swatches from these collections and there are just some items that I couldn't resist.

NATURALLY (Winter 2011)
Mac comes out with a nude tone winter collection every year and with neutral makeup looks being my go-to makeup look, I was naturally very attracted to this collection (pun intended).

(Mine came in the Glitter and Ice collection shopping bag -.-". It probably didn't do very well and they still have the bags leftover from Christmas)

This collection is HUGE and since it's not on the Mac website anymore I won't bother listing out everything here. You can check out this blog here for the full product list and colour descriptions of everything in the collection (Temptalia is awesome and I follow her blog religiously).

I purchased 1 Mineralize Skin Finish in Red Head, 3 Mineralize eyeshadow in Summer Haze, Twilight Falls and Daylight, 1 mineralize blush in Early Morning and 2 lipsticks in A Perfect Day and Sweet Sunrise.

Laura Mercier Lingerie Collection for Spring 2012 Makeup Review and Look

Hello everyone.
Today I have a makeup look inspired by the Laura Mercier Spring 2012 collection. As the name of the collection suggests, this collection comprises of very feminine and romantic colours inspired by fabrics and colours from the Victorian era.

I purchased 5 products from this collection: the eye and cheek palette, Creme Cheek colour in Innocent Peach, Sheer Lip Colour in Kissable Lips and Nude Lips and Lip Shine in Naked Apricot.

*Please excuse the dust*

Let's take a closer look at the products shall we.
