Today, I am going to review the Shu Uemura OB Collection for Spring 2013.

Shu Uemura's collaboration collections always hit my weak spot, mainly because of the unique-once-off-gorgeous-and-super-cute-limited-edition packaging. Did I mention the work-of-the-art false eyelashes??

SAKURA FLOWER AND OCEAN BEADS MINI FALSE EYELASHES

The Shu Uemura OB Sakura Flower Mini False Eyelashes are winged-out shape demi lashes/accent lashes with a mixture of pink and black lash colour. There is a small flower accent on the outer lash cluster. The right eye lash is also accented with small pink rhinestones at the band.
These lashes are lightweight and easy to apply. The lash band/spine is quite thick but it is very flexible and light so these lashes are not uncomfortable to wear. Once on the eye, the outermost lash will give a droopy effect so these lashes will work really great for the droopy puppy eye look.
The Ocean Beads Mini False Eyelashes are winged out shape half lashes with beads accents. The right lash has a teal bead on the end of each lash cluster and the left lash has a silver bead on the 2 outer lash cluster only.
This compact case is made of plastic and it is very light, has a good size mirror and it has a "click-in" closure. The actual quality of the case is nothing out of the ordinary but the illustration on it is absolutely adorable in my opinion.
I will not be talking about the actual powder in this compact because I don't actually know which type it is. The SA took it out of the box and put it into the compact for me and I didn't check beforehand. #beautybloggerfail
These lashes are slightly uncomfortable since the lash band/spine is thick and also quite stiff. Also, since the lash band is thick and black, it is better to camouflage it with a black eyeliner or it might look unnatural on the eyes.
That being said, I LOVE the way the Ocean Beads Mini False Eyelashes look on the eyes. It doesn't look as dramatic once you have it on and the accents beads at the end flutters when you blink. It's a really pretty look!!
OB COLLECTION COMPACT CASE

OB COLLECTION DUO CUSTOM CASE AND EYESHADOW REFILLS IN 852 MEDIUM BROWN AND 864 MEDIUM BROWN
On the left is the OB Collection Duo Custom Case and on the right is a regular white duo custom case. The duo custom case will either house 2 eyeshadow refills or a single blush pan.
The duo custom case is again, made of plastic and very light, and also *ahemm* slightly flimsy.
From left: 852 Medium Brown is a matte medium tan brown and 864 Medium Brown is a warm tone chocolate brown with a hint of red.
Shu Uemura does matte eyeshadows so beautifully. Both the 852 Medium Brown and 864 Medium Brown are smooth and fine, and they apply and blend very well. I have been using these 2 shadows to fill in my brows since my ash tone hair dye has faded and my hair has taken on a slightly warmer colouring. I have also been using these to shade my lids and to set eyeliner. The wear time of these eyeshadows are around 7-8 hours without a primer.
OB COLLECTION ROUGE UNLIMITED SUPREME SHINE IN DREAM ORANGE, SAKURA PINK & PRINCESS CORAL
The bullet is the same shape and material (silver metal inside and transparent plastic outside) as the regular Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks. The OB Collection Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks has the Sakura Hime illustration(I think that's the name of the little girl, don't quote me on it though) on the outer plastic in the bottom portion and the ob for Shu Uemura writing on the metal bullet on the top portion.

The Shu Uemura OB Collection Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks have a pigmented and a slightly translucent glossy look on the lips. I find the formula of these lipsticks to be quite hydrating and comfortable.
I find the OB Collection Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks to be wetter/ has more of a slip compared to other Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks that I have tried. As a result of that, these can apply slightly unevenly and emphasize lip lines as well as dryness on the lips. The OB Collection Rouge Unlimited Lipsticks also have a slightly shorter wear time than my other Rouge Unlimiteds. I typically get around 3 hours of wear time with the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited formula but the OB Collection ones have noticeable fading under 3 hours.
Brows: A mixture of 852 Medium Brown and 864 Medium Brown to fill in and define my eyebrows.
Eyes: 852 Medium Brown on the lids up to my socket and 864 Medium Brown to blend a brown pencil eyeliner on the top lash line and bottom lash line.
Lips: OB Sakura Pink Rouge Unlimited Lipstick.
Lips: A subtle way to do the 2-colour lip look. I used OB Princess Coral on my top lip and OB Dream Orange on my bottom lip.
